Founded in 2010 by artist and designer Katie Gastley, Idlewild Co. is a boutique paper goods and gift company. Now a nationally distributed stationery line, the brand began with a tiny pop-up at the Renegade Craft Festival in McCarren Park, Brooklyn. A few shoppers noticed Katie’s hand-painted neighborhood prints and asked if she would create wedding stationery based on the artwork. 

With a robust collection of hand-painted wedding suites under her belt, Katie expanded her work to a line of greeting cards and hand-bound notebooks. In just a few years, the brand became a go-to source for creative gift products, sold in hundreds of stores across the globe. In 2013, Idlewild Co. relocated to sunny Vero Beach, Florida, where the team is still based today.
