Birmingham, Alabama native Ali Patton founded her brand, Mama Mitchell’s Pound Cake, as an homage to her grandmother—and her signature, one hundred-year-old pound cake recipe, passed down through the family for generations. Today, Patton uses the same time-honored recipe to create the sweet, simple cakes, “kitchen counter staples,” as her grandmother considered them.
