The Year of the Dogs by Vincent J. Musi

Local to South Carolina, author Vincent J. Musi specializes in animal portraiture and considers his subjects as collaborators rather than merely topics of his photographs. As a National Geographic photographer, Musi spent much of his life traveling across the globe photographing exotic animals. In 2017 Musi decided to embark on a new adventure with dogs. Using his hometown studio, Musi shot over 100 dogs with unique and one-of-a-kind personalities. This collection was assembled into his book, The Year of the Dogs.

Each exquisite portrait, profile, and full body shot are matched with witty “dogographies” from Musi’s time spent with his subjects. Get to know Sammy, Sully, Rocco, Tolliver, and their canine companions who make up this eccentric cast of characters. Add it to your coffee table or gift it to a dog-lover.
